THEAlpe Devero is located in the heart of Val d'ossola in a natural basin crossed by the Devero torrent which gives it its name, immersed in the natural park of Alpe Veglia and Alpe Devero at the foot of the imposing Piedmontese Alps.
La Alpe Devero ski resort offers 3 lifts, a chair lift and two ski lifts, which take you from the 1640 meters of the Devero plain to the 2240 meters of the departure of the slopes below the top of the Mount Cazzola, for a total height difference of 600m. There are 5 slopes of varying difficulty, for a total length of 9 km, suitable for both expert skiers and beginners. (cars are left in the parking lot and the lifts can be reached with a short walk, the cost of parking is reimbursed with the purchase of the daily ski pass)
At the base of the plants there is abeginners and children area completely renovated with an 80-metre tapis-roulant and dedicated track as well as a bobsleigh track, here is also the Ski School where the instructors teach snow newbies how to take their first steps.
If you prefer Alpine skiing Nordic skiing then Alpe Devero offers a cross-country ring that crosses for 6 kilometers the whole plain and leads to the discovery of an uncontaminated environment rich in tradition where the snow surrounds the stone huts and the pastures of the Natural Park.
There are also different paths and itineraries to be undertaken with the snowshoeing (snowshoes) not only in the valley but also at higher altitudes where you can reach panoramic points of extraordinary beauty. It is no coincidence that during the winter season the mountains of Alpe Devero are the meeting point for numerous hikers who undertake the various routes with the technique of Ski Touring climbing up to the highest peaks and then launching into long descents between the fresh snow which is always abundant here.
