THEAsiago plateau it is a vast territory north of Vicenza which acts as a province, and borders on the plateaus of lavarone e Folgaria with the province of Trento to the north-west, while to the north it is separated from it by the rocks and overhangs of the Valsugana. It is a territory with gentle slopes in the central basin, where the inhabited centers are located, the famous Seven Municipalities which also give it the denomination, of which Asiago is the capital. But from the thousand meters of the central basin, the plateau grows with a surrounding amphitheater until it reaches over 2.300 meters. And it is precisely there that the major ski areas are developed. The main feature of this whole area is the brightness, a sunny and open territory where even on the shortest days the sun surrounds you for at least nine hours a day.
The Monte Verena ski area located in the municipality of Roana is the largest and highest ski site on the plateau. It extends from an altitude of 1.650 m to a maximum altitude of 2.020 m, the point where Fort Verena stands, a historically important site for having fired the first cannonade in the First World War on 24 May 1915 towards the Austrian troops about to implement the straffexpedition.
This is the highest altitude area of the Plateau and thanks to the programmed snow, it guarantees skiing activities from December until late April.

Enego Valmaron is located further east in the territory of Enego. Further out from the center of Asiago offers a number of runs to suit any skier. It can be reached from Enego in fifteen minutes by road
