In the Upper Engadine (Switzerland), at an altitude between 1800 and 3303 meters, lies the Corvatsch ski area , the ski resort with the highest cable car in the Eastern Alps. From here, 120 kilometers of slopes wind down the mountainside with impressive ski runs, including the longest floodlit run in Switzerland, at 4,2 kilometers, where you can ski amidst the contrast of white snow and the intense blue of the starry sky.
Piz Corvatsch is geographically part of the Bernina massif . It is located approximately 5–10 km south of St. Moritz. The Corvatsch ski season begins as early as November, with the high-altitude slopes opening, thanks in part to the glacier at 3000 meters above sea level, which offers excellent skiing conditions until late spring. The Engadine is one of the snowiest Alpine regions in Switzerland and Europe. During particularly snow-hungry winters, snowmaking systems are deployed to fill the gap and ensure perfect skiing conditions until the end of the season.
