Glacier 3000 is a ski area located in Switzerland in the Gstaad region. This is one of the most popular with tourists for its wide slopes, the only ones in the Bernese where it is possible to ski most of the year thanks to the glacier.

The history of Glacier 3000 began in the 60s with the construction of the first cable cars which, over time, transported tourists and skiers to the peaks of the area.

This has expanded not only with new trails, but also with attractions and facilities such as gift shops, restaurants and overnight accommodations.

Furthermore, since 2017, cutting-edge snowmaking systems have also been adopted, which allow Glacier 3000 to further feed the ski slopes.

The slopes of the district are designed to satisfy both beginners and sports enthusiasts, with routes of different complexity such as the Red Run, an 8 km stretch that allows you to cover different stages to descend from 3.000 m to 1300 m. This also provides an area for more adventurous skiers, The Olden Run, which allows you to descend along the sides of the snow-capped peaks in freeride; instead, for those who have yet to become familiar with skiing, or simply want a more relaxed route, there are 9 slopes on the glacier suitable for beginners.
