Ski resorts Val Gardena

175 km of downhill slopes and 115 km of cross-country trails with 83 lifts. In addition, 500 km of slopes entirely connected with the other ski areas around the Sella.

The most famous and praised excursion is the famous Sella Ronda, the tour of the mighty Sella Group on skis: 26 km of descent. With the Dolomiti Superski Skipass you can enjoy all the most beautiful descents.

For the Sella Ronda it is good to keep at least six hours free. It is therefore wise to leave in the morning, in order to be sure to reach the last lift in time before the afternoon closing. At 17.00 the slopes are also officially closed (the Sella Ronda is not recommended for beginners).
The Sella Ronda can be done clockwise or counterclockwise.

Less known than the Sella Ronda but equally exciting is the Gherdëina Skiring. In our opinion, this represents the best way to get to know the peaceful pastures and refuges of the Val Gardena. The Gherdëina Skiring leads, among other things, to Alpe Seceda, Sella Cuca descent, towards Furnes at Col Raiser, on the Saslonch slope, to Piz Sella and Dantercëpies.

Selva Gardena – Vallunga
The Vallunga in Selva Gardena offers cross-country skiers a fantastic panorama of the Dolomites. From the Carabinieri Sports Center to the end of the valley, 12 km of slopes await you, which are part of the "Nordic Activ Park". At the exit point you can find the cross-country school and the ski rental.
The cross-country trails take place in the quiet and idyllic Vallunga.
The first part, flat, very ideal for beginners, various loops of 1km, 2km and 3km.
For already somewhat expert cross-country skiers, a 5 km loop of medium difficulty; track for training and track approved for organizing various competitions, even at national level!
A 12 km cross-country trail, which leads into the Vallunga, is the destination of every cross-country skier staying in Val Gardena! A marvel of nature, surrounded by the perpendicular rocks of the Stevia, Puez and Cir group. At the start of the cross-country trails, near the ski school, is the biathlon range. It is not uncommon to attend the shooting training of Italian biathlon athletes and champions. From the little boys of the Ski Club to the professionals of the Carabinieri sports group, there are many cross-country and biathlon enthusiasts in the valley as well.
In addition to the cross-country trails, a beautiful walk also leads inside the valley, you can observe a still intact nature, the animals that find their natural habitat here are mostly chamois, roe deer, marmots and hares. as of course the eagle, which for years has dominated the valley from its nest on the south wall of the Stenia.
