Falcade – San Pellegrino Pass – Moena make up one of the most evocative areas of the Dolomiti Superski: the Trevalli.
These three localities, located in the central area between the Trentino and Venetian Dolomites, are surrounded by mountain ranges among the most beautiful in the world: the Marmolada, the Pelmo, the Civetta, the Pale di San Martino, the Catinaccio and the Latemar are some of the panoramas that can be admired while skiing in the Trevalli Skiarea.
The geographical position of this area also allows fast connection with various neighboring ski areas in Val di Fassa, with the Sella Ronda from Canazei and with the Val di Fiemme from Predazzo. From Falcade, on the slope Veneto, you can easily reach the Civetta, Marmolada and Sella Ronda districts.
The Trevalli Skiarea is served by 26 lifts that allow you to ski on
100 km of slopes all served by a network of artificial snow among the best in Europe, a guarantee of skiability from December to April.
The area of Falcade and Passo San Pellegrino is the ideal place both for families and children with numerous particularly sunny school camps to learn the first steps on the snow and for expert skiers who want to experience the thrill of breathtaking descents on the most challenging slopes of the slope of Col Margherita.
The Falcade school camp is located in the locality of Le Buse, a panoramic and sunny terrace throughout the winter at an altitude of 1885 metres; here there are two treadmills dedicated to beginner skiers who want to learn their first steps on skis; the next step takes us to the Campo Scuola equipped with three slopes suitable for those who are progressing technically.
Children can learn skiing in absolute safety as the slopes dedicated to them are on the sidelines of those frequented by skiers.

Children can also have fun on the "Loacker Tour", a fantastic mini off-piste in the woods with humps, parabolics and jumps created to learn all the secrets of skiing.
In the meantime, parents can sunbathe and refresh themselves in the three chalets in the area: at the Chalet Le Buse, at the Gigio Piciol refuge or at the Malga Agriturismo Le Buse.
Here also operates the Equipe Ski School made up of 25 ski instructors mostly specialized in various disciplines such as alpine skiing, snowboarding, carving, telemark, free ride, teaching children, teaching the handicapped.
Families and beginners who want to take their first steps on the snow of the Trevalli area turn to these instructors.
For those who are more expert skiers or practice skiing at a higher level, there is an embarrassment of choice. From the locality of Le Buse, climb rapidly towards the highest point of the district, the Col Margherita at 2530 meters above sea level; from here there are various possibilities, you descend on the Laresei side equipped with a very wide red slope of difficulty (no. 23) and served by a four-seater chairlift with automatic coupling with fairing or up to Falcade covering a crazy height difference of 1330 meters! Or opt for the panoramic Pista degli Innamorati (n. 20) which winds its way through sunny fairytale plains and coniferous woods along a 12-kilometre route, the longest slope in the entire Dolomites.
Much more "tougher" is the north side of Col Margherita which descends in the direction of Passo San Pellegrino, served by three slopes (n. 40, n. 41 and n. 42) one more beautiful than the other.
The Col Margherita slope, a difficult red/black slope has a development of 3300 meters, starts at an altitude of 2530 meters with a fairly gentle slope; after the first kilometre, you look out over the saddle and it is from here that it presents a beautiful series of walls and curves that give no respite; towards the middle of the track you come across the more demanding wall a few hundred meters long. At the end of the wall, the slope allows you to let your skis run until you reach the departure point of the Col Margherita cable car, a modern facility with cabins for 100 people.
Numerous national and international competitions have been held on this slope, the Italian Alpine Ski Championships in downhill, super giant and giant slalom, numerous European Cup races in slalom and giant slalom, the Italian Ski Instructors Championships, the Gigantissimo and in the next December the 2013 Winter Universiade.
During the winter season it is always home to numerous training camps for the Italian and foreign national teams and it is not difficult to meet the champions of alpine skiing who train here.
Upon arrival of the cable car, at the top of Col Margherita at 2530 meters above sea level, you will be able to enjoy a breathtaking 360° panorama where you can admire all the most famous peaks of the Dolomites, perhaps relaxing on the terrace of the Husky Bar with a pleasant drink .
Moving to the side of the San Pellegrino pass, we climb up to the 2400 meters of Cima Uomo, another extraordinary panoramic point, before diving into the demanding Pista Direct Cima Uomo, home to prestigious international downhill competitions. This very technical track starts with a very steep first part, a very pronounced slope change followed by a deep compression and then moves towards a series of gentle slope changes; the track widens until it reaches a width of 80/100 meters towards the middle of the route, a final change in slope followed by a still quite steep part takes us to the finish straight with the final schuss at the small church of Passo San Pellegrino.
The Costabella and Monzoni slopes are also very beautiful and varied, all very sunny, absolutely not to be missed.
You can sit quietly at the table in the numerous refuges located throughout the area; we can mention only a few of the most renowned: the Capanna Passo Valles refuge or the Laresei refuge on the Falcade slope or the Cima Uomo Chalet or the Paradiso hut on the San Pellegrino Pass slopes.
