Arabba, in the Ladin language “Reba”, is found in the heart of the Dolomites at 1600 m, dominated by the imposing Sella Group, at the foot of Passo Pordoi and Passo Campolongo. Center of Arabba-Marmolada Ski Area, in winter it becomes a true paradise for lovers of alpine skiing and is also very popular for the ski area of ​​"Portavescovo", the 2600m high home mountain and Passo Padon.
Surrounded by a fabulous landscape to say the least, with over 50km of slopes always perfectly covered with snow and footpaths, can boast brand new connection systems with the other valleys. The many slopes are always perfectly groomed and modern lifts.
Arabba, is the fundamental point of access to the Sella Ronda Tour, also known as the “Giro dei quattro passi”, Campolongo, Sella, Gardena and Pordoi, a unique ski-on-the-foot tour that is always capable of thrilling everyone thanks to the beautiful Dolomite landscapes that surround it.
For beginners, on the other hand, there are large and sunny school camps where qualified ski instructors help you learn all the techniques and secrets of snow sports.

Still within the magnificent Arabba-Marmolada ski area we find the picturesque village of Rocca Pietore (1143 m asl), at the foot of the Marmolada glacier (3342 m) and capital of Val Pettorina, it has preserved its mountain charm over time: valleys rich in flora, fauna and waterways make it an oasis of peace and serenity. The ice of the Marmolada allows this area to be one of the first to open its lifts in winter and one of the last to close them in spring.

The Marmolada is also one of the ideal destinations for practicing it Ski Touring, the thrill of reaching a top, climbing on your own strength, and then descending on immaculate slopes.
They are also renowned walks with “snowshoes” and the activities that can be carried out along the extraordinary gorge of the Serrai of Sottoguda, a 2 km long canyon carved into the rock by the waters of the Pettorina torrent, such as ice climbing, suggestive torchlight processions and excursions (on foot, on skis or on snowshoes) immersed in an absolutely magical environment.

And after so much sport and entertainment, one cannot fail to taste the traditional dishes of the Ladin cuisine. Among the specialties offered we find the fresh homemade pasta, goulash with polenta, game, mushrooms, dumplings, cheeses from the local dairy (Fodom, Renaz and Contrin) and then, typical of the Fodom valley, the Tircle (a large ravioli fried in oil filled with ricotta and spinach) and the Crafons Mori (a sort of large pancake covered with icing sugar and served with cranberry jam) and to finish the desserts with lo apple strudel and the Linzer torte. A unique encounter between snow and taste.
