Courmayeur is an alpine resort par excellence where skiers and snowboarders find endless possibilities for fun on spectacular slopes and mountains.
Il Courmayeur ski area offers 100 km of ski slopes (including freeride slopes), divided into 31 slopes (Rocce bianchi, Pista dell'Orso, Gigante and Internazionale, just to name a few) with significant gradients, a suggestive setting and guaranteed snow (also thanks to the presence of artificial snow systems, which can cover up to 70% of the total km traveled).
In the ski resort of Courmayeur there are more than 20 ski lifts, of various types, but undoubtedly the most important are the Courmayeur cable car, the Val Veny cable car, and the Dolonne cable car; since these are the main facilities, and therefore places of high attendance, panels have been installed where guests can read the situation of the avalanche risk level in real time, which can range from 1 up to a maximum of 5.
Lo cross country find space in Val Ferret, one of the valleys that still retains its great natural heritage. Nordic skiing is practiced in the long expanses of snow and the Val Ferret ring with the village of Planpincieux where the routes start, winding along the entire valley and arriving as far as the locality of Lavachey, the more trained can instead continue and venture up to the 'Arnova.

Heliski and off-piste on Mont Blanc
The wild mountains in which Courmayeur is immersed allow you to practice sports and activities impossible to try in other Alpine areas, just think that here snow experts can climb to high altitudes with heliskiing and heliboarding. A fun reserved for the bravest that finds its maximum expression in the descent between the slopes and natural channels covered by meters of white snow. Among the most famous routes are the channels of the Chécrouit and the Youla Ridge. Snowpark Courmayeur
Il new Snowpark, managed by the Courmarider association and created by the Courmayeur Mont Blanc Funivie, is the big news of the locality. Located at 2000 meters above sea level, in the heart of the ski area, it is complete with a "Progressive" area with easy to tackle rails, perfect for beginners, an area with more challenging rails for expert riders, a line of 6-8 meter jumps and various jibbing facilities.
The flagship of the new snow park is the Big Air Bags, a mattress of 15 x 15 meters. At least two of its primates: it is the only Big Air Bag in the Aosta Valley, and it is also the largest in Europe. Ideal for trying your first jumps in conditions of maximum safety: a system of valves allows you to cushion the landing, ensuring safety for falls of up to 50 meters in height.
