Discover Alpe Cimbra even in summer

Alpe Cimbra

Alpe Cimbra is the set of highlands of Folgaria, Lavarone and Luserna, in South-Eastern Trentino on the border with Veneto. Here the gaze is lost in front of large open spaces of unspoiled nature and meets ancient traditions linked to its German-Cimbrian roots. In fact, there are still many traces of the German colonization that took place between the XNUMXth and [...]

  • I returned to ski in Folgaria about 7 years after the last time I visited it and I find it radically changed. Many things have improved and the tracks are finally connected to each other.

The place is beautiful and the slopes are nice, especially suitable for beginners but not ideal for those who want challenging and fun descents.
It's not like skiing in the Dolomites, here it's all ups and downs with the facilities and above all the connections are devastating because you have to keep pushing to get from one area to another.

It is a good place for those who want to ski with children in tow even if for what Folgaria offers it costs a lot, the daily ski pass costs €36 while in other areas of Lombardy you pay €30 and there are many more slopes available.

It is a place that I recommend to those who want to ski for a day or two, for a skiing week there are better locations in other areas of Trentino.

  • I went skiing in Folgaria last week, well what can I say...Trentino!
Beautiful town, fast lifts with beautifully maintained slopes. I don't agree with Roberto G. there are fun and challenging slopes, just to name a few: the Salizzona, the Agonistica/Martinella nord (where the national team goes to train!!!!) the 4th Cima Spill, the Slalom Toll…I challenge anyone to say that they are not challenging and fun. I find the price of the ski pass absolutely justified and not expensive for the 74 km of slopes and the quality of the service offered.
What can I say, I really like it and I find it suitable for a holiday for families but also for young people looking for fun and skiing immersed in nature.

  • In agreement with Andrea, there are challenging slopes, they are not very long, but they are, and I must say when I was on a skiing holiday I skied for 6 days, and the slopes were always perfect. Excellent artificial snow and services. I also had a great time at the Hotel Seggiovia in Francolini. With the chairlift 10m away. Nice little village, nice week…
