Livigno

Find your hotel in the snow

Livigno is a ski resort that can easily be described as a snow paradise . All winter sports are possible here, especially skiing. Alpine skiing offers 115 kilometers of slopes , divided into 12 black, 37 red, and 29 blue, with a network of ski lifts that includes 11 skylifts, 6 gondolas, and 14 chairlifts. The slopes are located at altitudes ranging from 1800 to 2900 meters above sea level. The Livigno ski area is divided into two major ski areas, Mottolino and Carosello 3000. These two resorts compete for the two mountain sides of the valley and manage their respective ski areas separately. Despite competition and rivalry, there is also an excellent collaborative relationship that provides a single ski pass for unbiased access to all slopes.

Among the various descents we find the Polvere slope, characterized by a series of boardercross paths, a real attraction for those who have such a mastery of skiing that they can face dips, parabolic curves and steep slopes; and what about the Natural Pipe, a natural depression that allows all freestylers and snowboard enthusiasts to perform exciting stunts.

30 km of constantly groomed and sun-kissed trails are dedicated to Nordic skiing . Livigno also boasts a large snow park, organized into several lines based on difficulty, from S for beginners to XL for serious enthusiasts and experts. Also noteworthy is the jibbing area, equipped with dozens of features including boxes, walls, banks, and rails.

For those who want to look back to the past and in general for all those who want to rediscover the flavor of traditional skiing techniques, it is possible to practice telemark, right in the area that annually hosts the international festival, the Free Heel Fest.
